A new pool house pool, spa & terrace were carefully fitted into an existing wooded slope, preserving and augmenting privacy while adding celebrated recreational space. All elements of the project were design to maximize program while maintaining a very tight footprint; thereby minimizing impacts on the surrounding trees and landscape.
A graciously curved retaining wall and steps create a welcoming entrance to the pool terrace while offering space for lounge seating. The pool features a sunshelf, swim jet and benches. The recessed spa is located at one end of the pool, concealed behind a row of hedges. A fire pit and seating area anchors the opposite end of the pool, activating the space during evening activities. The pool house provides space for comfortable covered seating, a television, an indoor kitchen & bar area, a bathroom and outdoor rinse area. The outdoor dining and grill area were located directly adjacent to the pool house to maximize connectivity and functional efficiencies between the spaces.
